Massive earthquake cum Tsunami in Solomon Islands

An earth quake struck the east Kira Kira and has generated a Tsunami. A seismologist named David from Australia has informed that Honiara, capital of the Solomon Islands was about 500 Km west of the event.
It has happened in the mid-day past 12 minutes exactly it stated shaking and nearly a 7.9 earth quake in the Santha Cruz islands near to the Solomon Islands occurred. This earthquake later on generated localized Tsunami. And another island which is near to this is Ndeni. The officers were expecting that shaking would be more there and the damage also may occur the position over there has to be find out.

And regarding the loss of lives 5 were conformed to death in which 4 were elder and the one was a boy aged 10-12 years old. And the Solomon Islands police commissioner John Lansley said that this number was just for now and we are sad to say that this will increase.

Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has canceled an alert across the pacific from Papua New Guinea to Fiji; it appears that the waves reported to be somewhere between 90 cm's and 1.5 meters having remained localized around the coast of the Solomon Islands.
